Reminders and calendar files

Placemat prepares reminder messages and calendar files; you send them with the tools you already use. Placemat itself sends no email or SMS to guests.

Reminder messages

Under Approvals & reminders, press Prepare reminder batch for the selected service. Placemat collects the bookings that are still booked and have not had a reminder, and records the batch as a plan.

Expand Exact plan to check which bookings it covers, then press Approve plan. Approved reminders then counts the reminders ready to export.

Press Download reminders CSV. The file holds each guest's contact details and the approved message, ready for your email or SMS tool. Cancelled and no-show bookings, and erased guests, are left out. Reminder messages lists every approved message and when it was approved.

Calendar files

Each booking in the bookings list has a Calendar link that downloads it as a calendar file (.ics), with its start and end time, for your own calendar or to send to the guest.
